Madhyanchal Forum has effectively integrated gender mainstreaming or gender equality in all its designs, programmes, approaches and strategies. The gender perspective has been central to ensuring at least 50 % representation of women in Gram Sabhas. Not only this, they have been included in the implementation, evaluation and monitoring of programmes and the schemes meant for them.

These efforts have given rich dividends in terms of improvements in their socio-economic conditions, education, awareness about rights, decision making and combating malnutrition.
